From a beneficiary of your work

Dear Dr. Pert,

I have been a fan of yours ever since I first read Molecules of Emotion in 2004. At that time I don't think I fully understood the potential of your message, then I discovered What the Bleep, which I think is great as an introduction to the possibility of Quantum physics in everyday life. Now I follow your career and read everything of yours I can get my hands on!

I have just finished reading Everything You Need to Know to Feel Go(o)d. Thank you for your courage to speak your own truth as it meant so much to me as I travel my journey paying attention to creating the kind of healthy life I want to be living. Putting affirmations in place, as you suggested, as well as changing the message in my head about an allergic reaction I was having created healing almost overnight! I knew I could heal myself but lacked the confidence to step fully into my own power to heal myself until I read your book. The style of the book was so powerful for me I know it will be a re-read "must". I also really identified with what you were saying about worth, esteem in my selves and living with the expectation that I deserved great things in my life. I haven't yet figured out all the early trauma that I am carrying in my body and I will keep on keeping on figuring it out so I am living my life in the fullest possible way!

I have already recommended your book to family, friends and clients in my counseling psychology practice. I just wanted to write to you so that you will hear from an ordinary person about what a difference you are making in my life as I am sure you are to so many others! Please keep doing what you are doing...

Nameste,

Patricia Donihee PhD, CCC

Hello Candace, You do not have a contact me button on your site so I am leaving you this message. I run a very successful therapy school in Scotland and recommend your CD Psychosomatic Wellness to all my students and to my private clients. I would like to put a link on my website to your "buy CD" page - would this be OK. I love the CD and so do all the people I recommend it too. regards,
Matthew Ferguson

You're an inspiration...I agree with the letter, keep on doing what you're doing, we all need it and most of us want it.

Hi Candice,

I am part of a daoist forum and we discuss many things. One of them is the effect of any energies in the field. Scientists seem split about how to interpret the test results for microwaves and cell phones. But the evidence seem to indicate there is no safety at all in these technologies. What do you think about this?

Also, the question of DDT use has come up. Is it safe or not?

Thanks, Alexander

Dear Dr. Pert,
It was your Nova program in the 80's that fueled my career in research: You wrote a personal response to my inquiry, which I still treasure. I, too have left the research community: too many encounters with glass walls, not to mention glass ceilings.
Anxiously awaiting your books and CD. I know your current work will be as inspiring to me as your work on endorphins.

Candice, Thank you for all that you do. This is my second attempt to communicate, I hope I did all the signing up and password giving right. I teach Mind Body Spirit health education classes and wondered if I could get a copy of your "favorite slide" from page 108 of "Feeling Good" and have permission to share it. May all beings FEEL GOOD! geoffbyrd@aol.com

Hi Candace,

My question is in regard to meditation. I do a daily practice but I mix it up a bit. One day TM, one day a Tibetan Buddhist practice, one day Kornfield, etc. Sometimes I stay on one thing for a week or even a month, but then switch to something else for a while.

A spiritual teacher told me that in order to gain the deep benefits, I need to pick one and stick with it. What is your opinion on this? Was she just rooting for her own team, or is there a physiological benefit from delving into one form of meditation exclusively?

Thank you for making yourself accessable with the blog. What a gift!

: )
